Diane Zoll,
Director of the Platinum Coast Chorus, has an impressive history in
barbershop singing and direction. Her 30+ years as a Sweet Adeline started
in New York where she became an Assistant Director while singing baritone in
the “American Tradition” quartet. Her eight years as the Director of
“Heart of Long Island Chorus” culminated in winning first place in
the Small Chorus category for two consecutive years.
But
their loss was our gain! Diane and her husband George moved to Indian
Harbour Beach in 1998 and she became the Director of the Platinum Coast
Chorus - taking us on to win Most Improved Chorus in 2004. In 2007,
we captured the Second
Place Award. Then, in 2008, we were proudly awarded “Division A”
First Place Gold Medals in the Regional Sweet Adelines Competition in
Daytona Beach as well as bringing home the coveted Most Improved Chorus
and Most Improved Director Awards. In May 2009, we successfully
defended our Gold Medals as we performed with confidence, assurance,
and a renewed commitment to providing quality musical performances under
Diane’s direction.
We
are so lucky to have her!
Diane
and George have 2 sons who both have inherited their parents’ love of music.
Dave is a singer and guitarist and Chris plays both drums and bass guitar.
With Diane’s guidance and enthusiasm, Platinum Coast Chorus can only improve
as we follow her lead and try to help her “Harmonize the World”.
